A man is believed missing after he possibly jumped overboard Friday from a cargo ship docked at Temco in the Port of Kalama.

The Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office is working with U.S. Customs agents to find Kyaw Aung, 37, believed to be from Myanmar.

Aung was last seen at about 11 p.m. Thursday and was reported missing 8 a.m. Friday.

Horrifying accounts of the situation on a boat that is on fire in the Adriatic Sea have emerged from passengers making desperate phone calls.

One said that their shoes had started melting because of the heat, but once outside they were cold, wet and choking from the smoke.

Two ships, named the Hyn 16 and Hyn 19, caught fire in Jakarta Bay, about 1.5 miles from Pantai Mutiara in Penjaringan, North Jakarta, on Wednesday.

One crew member, identified as Ruslan, 28, from Gresik, East Java, died from burns he received in the incident. Two others, Aliong, 25 and Rizal, 19, also suffered extensive and severe burn injuries.

A crew member, Ale Ferdy Hukom, 29, managed to save himself by jumping into the water.
