Sky Moon was detained by Ukraine's coast patrol on the Danube in late 2016

A general cargo ship sailing under the Tanzanian flag, Sky Moon, will be handed over to the Ukrainian Navy after it was confiscated for illegally calling Crimean ports, said prosecutor of the Southern region, Roman Mrochko. According to the press service of the State Border Service of Ukraine, coast guards detained Sky Moon on November

Navigation and cargo papers found onboard proved that the vessel had in fact visited seaports in the occupied Crimea and shipped cargo therefrom. In March 2017, the ship along with the cargo worth UAH 18.5 million was confiscated in favor of the state by a court ruling. The ship's captain, as well as one of the founders of the cargo owner company (a Moldova national), have been brought to criminal responsibility.
