Update: According to newsinfo.inquirer.net NYK JOANNA ran aground while trying to avoid collision with fishing vessel. Reportedly container ship didn’t sustain serious damages, no leak, no water ingress reported, but coral reef which was struck by the ship in protected aera may suffer damages. Container ship NYK JOANNA ran aground in Subic Bay in the evening Apr 18 on the way out, she was refloated and brought to anchor in Subic Bay near grounded site, no information on damages yet. The ship is en route from Subic Bay to Manila.
