Iran seizes two vessels in oil smuggling probe

Iranian forces have detained two ships in the Persian Gulf and arrested their crew for allegedly carrying smuggled oil.

The Iranian state news agency Irna said that the Revolutionary Guards Navy seized two vessels flying the flags of Panama and Tanzania, accusing them of smuggling over 1.5m litres of fuel.

I work as a seaman on a ship overseas. I am employed by the same company under separate contracts; each for a fixed period spanning more than a year. Can I be considered a regular employee like my friends who work in the Philippines?
