Cargo ship abandoned, drifting with heavy list, another ship towed to safety, SEA

General cargo ship developed heavy starboard list in South China sea in the morning Aug 11, requested assistance. SAR ships were sent, when they reach the ship, the crew already went into life rafts. They’ve been picked up and transferred to nearest port, all are safe. Abandoned ship understood to be adrift with some 40 degrees list.
General cargo ship on Aug 8 suffered engine failure and went adrift in South China sea. Tug was sent to assist, on Aug 9 disabled ship was taken on tow, on Aug 10 arrived on tow at nearest port.
