Bulk carrier PANDA and general cargo ship BARLAS collided in Aegean sea off Babakale, Ayvacik district of Canakkale, sometime between 2000-2200 UTC Dec 6, both proceeding in the same direction. Both ships reportedly sustained slight damages and were allowed to resumed voyage. PANDA is under way and as of 0900 UTC Dec 7, she was west of Ikaria, en route from Ukraine to Egypt. It is not clear what’s present status and condition of BARLAS, though. Her last AIS are dated Dec 5.
