TWO million Brits holiday on them every year.

But while cruise ships are luxury floating cities for those who pay thouands for the privilege, these huge 100,000-ton vessels are a death trap for those tasked with dismantling them

A Sun Online investigation can reveal that over 225,000 exploited workers are forced to work in gruelling conditions to dismantle every piece of metal on board by hand.

Horrifyingly, around 12 per cent of these workers are children as young as eight, who are made to work through the night in the dark to avoid being caught by charity workers who would report the shipyard bosses for child exploitation.

Workers are exposed to asbestos and toxic fumes, and risk being crushed to death by steel hulls and doors which fall on them from above.

In these deadly ship graveyards, 116 people have been killed in the last two years due to terrible working conditions.

As it's revealed one worker a week dies in these beaching yards, Sun Online exposes how British cruise ships, tankers and cargo vessels are contributing to shocking conditions of shipbreaking in developing countries – making it one of the deadliest jobs on the planet.
