Spain makes ban on cruise ships indefinite
Benjamin Parker, 18 JUNE 2020

Spain might be welcoming back international tourists this month in an effort to jump-start the summer season but the outlook does not appear bright for cruise enthusiasts.

The ban on cruise ships coming into port has been extended with no end date announced.

The Spanish government said the restriction was to avoid any risk being posed to the national population.

British holidaymakers will be allowed to travel to Spain from June 21 as long as the spread of Covid-19 is kept under control. Visitors will no longer need to undergo quarantine – though Spain is considering imposing a quarantine on visitors from the UK in reciprocity to a similar measure imposed by Britain.
