Container ship damaged ferry in collision, Hainan Strait

Container ship HONG YANG collided with ferry JIAN FENG LING in Hainan Strait at 0350 Beijing time Apr 5, from description of accident it seems like container ship struck ferry’s starboard, inflicting serious damages. Hull was dented and breached, liferafts damaged or torn off, some trucks and cars on cargo deck damaged and/or destroyed. Several passengers were slightly injured. Container ship sustained fore section damages, but no containers loss mentioned.
HONG YANG was en route to Haikou, Hainan. She left Haikou on Apr 8, bound for Qinzhou.
JIAN FENG LING understood to be taken to Hainan after collision, and later moved to Zhanjiang.
