MARINA resolves 100% of 8888 hotline complaints

MANILA –The Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) resolved all complaints and concerns raised by the public through the 8888 hotline, assuring quick responses to issues that may arise.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, MARINA said all 52 complaint tickets raised by 8888 were "acted upon" as of March 31.

“The appreciation is an affirmation of MARINA's efforts in ensuring that all concerns referred to the agency were acted upon on time,” MARINA said, citing the letter of commendation it received from 8888 this month.

“The agency will continue to serve the public, as it strives to address the complaints, and concerns from its stakeholders in a short period of time,” MARINA said.

The 8888 was established in 2016 as part of President Rodrigo Duterte’s crackdown against corruption and red tape in the government as defined under Republic Act (RA) No. 9485 and amended by RA 11032.
