DoTr maritime sector, WSC strengthen maritime ties

EXPERTS and leaders in the maritime industry have strengthened their ties for the further growth of the global shipping industry.

The WSC is composed of vessel operators servicing the international liner shipping sector focusing on trade, security and customs concerns that affect the industry.

Association of International Shipping Lines Inc. (AISL) President Patrick Ronas and General Manager Maximino Cruz joined the WSC representatives during the courtesy visit to the PPA Corporate Office Building on Monday.

WSC partners with different governments and stakeholders to solve some of the most challenging transportation concerns such as environment-related issues using new global regulations and internationally accepted research and development techniques toward zero-emission propulsion.

"The WSC pushes for advocacies and regulations to guarantee adequate and efficient global transportation infrastructure capacity," PPA said.

WSC has been working to shape the future growth of a sustainable, safe and secure shipping industry.
