CMA CGM supports PH maritime industry, donates computers

CMA CGM Philippines Inc. hopes that the Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) will enhance the delivery of its service through its donation of 14 Dell computer sets.

Marina Administrator Hernani Fabia thanked CMA CGM General Manager Oliver Odeyer, represented by his chief financing officer Jean Emile Bader. The donation was made official during a ceremony at the Marina Central Office on May 2, 2023.

The donation is a testament to its commitment to supporting the development of the maritime industry.

Fabia said by maximizing the available resources, Marina can enhance its relationship with industry stakeholders to strengthen the Philippine maritime industry.

"The donation of computer sets is expected to contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of the agency," he added.

The ceremonial signing was attended by Marina Deputy Administrator for Operations Nannette Villamor-Dinopol, Deputy Administrator for Planning Sonia Malaluan and Chief of Staff Jabeth Dacanay; and French Maritime Expert Emeric Faure, Shipyards Regulation Service (SRS) Director Ramon Hernandez, Legal Service Director Sharon de Chavez-Aledo, Management, Financial and Administrative Service Director Nenita Atienza, Management Information Systems Service Officer in Charge Lina Maquera, Shipyard Development and Licensing Division chief Maria Teresa Mamisao and other SRS staff.
