World Maritime University figures paint a shocking picture of a workforce exploited by owners and managers
New research has revealed an existential threat to shipping through a culture of incredibly long hours worked by seafarers.
A study of more than 6,300 crew members by the World Maritime University (WMU) shows the average working week lasts for 74.9 hours.
