SOFIA (Reuters) - The Bulgarian captain of a Portuguese-flagged cargo ship who was kidnapped along with seven other sailors by pirates off the coast of Benin last month, has been freed, Bulgaria’s foreign ministry said on Monday.

BACOLOD City – Authorities are searching for a fisherfolk. His boat sank after it was allegedly hit by a cargo ship in the seas dividing Victorias City, Negros Occidental and Ajuy, Iloilo.

The fisherman was identified as 42-year-old Marlon Adigue Sr., a resident of Sitio Pasil in Barangay VI-A, Victorias City.

An explosion damaged the 2018-built chemical tanker Qiu Feng 6 on Wednesday and injured two crew members.

The incident occurred when the vessel was sailing near Wuhu on the Yangtze River. A video of the incident shows the crew possibly washing the tank when the explosion happened.
