MARINA seeks harassment protection, better digitalization at IMO meet

MANILA – The Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) sought to improve harassment protection for seafarers, increase digitalization, and address other critical aspects of maritime operation during the 11th session of the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) Sub-Committee on Human Element, Training and Watchkeeping (HTW) in London, United Kingdom on Monday.

The Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group (PNP-AVSEGROUP) reported on Monday that airport authorities arrested a 36-year-old Filipina from Bay, Laguna, at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 Departure Area on Sunday.

Initial reports said that the suspect was about to depart for Muscat, Oman.
