General cargo ship abandoned, sinking in South China sea

General cargo ship issued distress signal in the morning Jul 5, reporting sinking in South China sea. At around midday crew abandoned ship and went into life boat, about half an hour later they were rescued by nearby cargo ship. Fate of abandoned freighter is unknown, latest report said she developed heavy list, probably still afloat.
