General cargo ship LISTERVIK hit the rocks or contacted rocky bottom west of Oxelosund, Sweden, Baltic sea, at around 0200 UTC Feb 8, while en route from Nakskov Denmark to Norrkoping Sweden, with cargo of wheat. Reportedly, hull was breached, with ensuing water ingress. The ship turned back and headed for Oxelosund, escorted by Swedish CG ship or ships. She reached Ozelosund and was moored at around 0415 UTC.

General cargo ship DUC PHAT 66 issued distress signal at 0800 Hanoi time (UTC +7) Feb 8 in position 17 24N 107 04E, some 15 nm off Vietnam coast, reporting water ingress and asking for assistance. Two nearest fishing vessel were ordered to standby and assist if possible, later the ship, loaded with 1853 tons of rice, was towed to Cua Viet port, either by Vietnamese SAR ship, or by fishing vessel, not clear.
