NYK-Fil Ship Management Inc. has strengthened its commitment of providing excellent Filipino seafarers to ensure safe and high-quality marine transport services for the NYK Group.

NYK senior adviser Yasumi Kudo said the Filipino seafarers onboard their vessels helped contribute in achieving customer satisfaction for safely delivering their cargoes.

“Thirty years of us being together as a community is indeed a milestone. I am very proud that NYK-Fil has consistently delivered on its long-term mission with unwavering and steadfast commitment to its purpose: to provide competent marine personnel for the NYK fleet, and carrying the precious trust of our customers in safely delivering their cargoes that are valuable to many people across the world,” Kudo said.

“In fact, NYK-Fil now provides Filipino seafarers to more than 200 vessels managed by NYK and is overseeing the promotion of captains and chief engineers to high-risk NYK ships, such as VLCCs (very large crude carriers) and LNG (liquefied natural gas) carriers,” he added.

NYK-Fil, a joint venture company of NYK and Transnational Diversified Group (TDG), celebrated its 30th anniversary on July 24 and the completion of a renovation of the head office.

Kudo led the anniversary celebration attended by J. Roberto Delgado, chairman of TDG; Josephine Francisco, president of NYK-Fil; and about 1000 guests, including business partners, seafarers and family members from all over the Philippines.

TDG has been actively working with NYK since its establishment in 1976 and has since become a respected strategic partner of large global corporations due to its world-class experience and win-win outlook.

TDG is a globally competitive and highly progressive Philippine-owned business group that is comprised of over 40 companies, primarily in logistics, ship management and manpower, travel and tourism, information and communications technology, and other investments in industries such as renewable energy, agriculture and real estate.
