A deckhand has admitted to having sex with a captain when the luxury yacht they were travelling in smashed into another boat.
Cheya Handley, 26, said had been with the yacht's skipper Jeremy JJ Piggott, 46, on the bow of the vessel when the collision occurred.
The boat had smashed into another moored boat and a navigation beacon before running aground.
She told an Australian court she had drunk alcohol on the journey from Brisbane to the Gold Ghost on March 3 last year
Skipper Piggott had been trying to steer the boat using a remote control during their antics, the court heard.
It was also heard how a mounted CCTV camera was lowered so it would not capture them in the act, reports the Daily Star .
In a recorded tape played to the court, Handley says in a police interview: "Yeah, I did the wrong thing, drinking on the job. I should have known better, I screwed up big-time.
“We were chatting, laying down, looking at the stars and then got it on."
Around $14,000 (AUD) £7,300 worth of damage was caused and Piggott was slapped with a $4,000 fine after pleading guilty to two counts of recklessly contravening his duty.
He was also given a two-year good behaviour bond.
Handley admitted one count of risking the safety of a person or vessel and was given a fine of $1,000 and a six-month good behavior bond at Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
She was sacked from Crystal Blue Yacht Charters after the incident she was later re-hired and then promoted, according to her lawyer, David Funch.
He is even said to have posted an image of the Crystal Blue Yacht to Facebook in October, writing: “We’ve been through so much together from the start.
“This yacht is super special to me. I can’t wait for its full brand new makeover! Bring on Summer and the good vibes.”
