THE 54 passengers of the M/V Lite Ferry 20 that was accidentally hit by a cargo ship in Lawis Ledge, Talisay City, around 1:30 p.m. Friday were safe.

The collision resulted in a damage to the vessel's sundeck.

The Philippine Coast Guard Cebu reported that the M/V Lite Ferry 20 was accidentally hit by LCT Seamine 8.

As of press time, PCG Cebu was still gathering information about the incident.

The captains of both vessels are expected to submit their marine protest within 24 hours. (JOB)
