Elburg Shipmanagement Philippines Incorporated, the manpower agency of the Filipino seaman who died when heavy seas slammed into the ship he was working in, said on Friday that it was coordinating with authorities for the repatriation of the victim's remains.

According to a report on “24 Oras,” Elburg was coordinating with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, the Philippine Overseas Office in Canada, and the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration for the repatriation of Jake Marinduque’s body as well as his colleagues who were injured in the incident.

“Our records will bear that we have been faithfully cooperating with the said agencies and all relevant and concerned authorities, as may be necessary,” Angelita Ancheta, president, said.

“We have voluntarily complied with all their requests and requirements and will continue to do so in order to expedite the resolution of this case,” she added.

Elburg also said it would extend assistance to Marinduque’s family.
