Police have arrested a tanker crew member after a colleague was killed on board.

The Daily Star in Bangladesh reported that a seafarer named as Turakorn Burussee, 48, has been held in connection with the stabbing of a fellow Thai national on the 3,500-dwt KPP 01 (built 1991) at the Chattogram anchorage in the Bay of Bengal.

Rapheephong Klahan, 30, died after an “altercation” with another crew member around 8.30 pm local time on Tuesday.

Burussee was arrested on Wednesday after police from Patenga and Anwara boarded the tanker.
