Japan’s Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) has sealed a crew transfer vessel (CTV) time charter contract with wind turbine maker Siemens Gamesa.

The vessel will transport workers to the offshore wind farm at Ishikari Bay New Port, which is scheduled to begin commercial operation in December 2023.

ILOILO – A former seafarer was shot to death by tricycle-riding gunmen in Barangay Botongon, Estancia town around 7:45 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13.

The 50-year-old Zaldy Cabuyoc succumbed to six gunshot wounds.

Cabuyoc was outside his house near the public plaza when shot using a .45 pistol. The gunmen fled towards Javier Proper.
