UAE expats' hopes sink after container ship collision

A number of expatriates in the UAE have been told their belongings have been lost after a container ship collision at a port in Pakistan, as it travelled between Dubai and the UK.

THE P500-million MV Lite Ferry 88 was formally launched yesterday by Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) Administrator Rey Leonardo Guerrero and Presidential Assistant for the Visayas Michael Lloyd Dino.

Guerrero is a retired general, being the former chief of staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
