The oil tanker ‘Athlos’ caught fire off the Larnaca coast at around 9.30am on Saturday, injuring two crew members who were rushed to Nicosia general hospital suffering from serious burns.

Three other members of the total crew of 17 were transferred to the Limassol general hospital for check-ups.

CITY OF CALAPAN — Trips by small seacraft plying the Calapan-Batangas route have been canceled on Sunday due to “rough seas.”

Only roll-on-roll-off (RORO) vessels are allowed to operate the route, though with some delay, the Oriental Mindoro Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said.
