One person was killed and another was wounded when a dry cargo ship exploded in the northern province of Sinop on Feb. 28, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

The blast reportedly occurred due to trapped gas in the boiler room of the vessel, which was anchored 15 miles off Sinop.
