The National Transportation Safety Board has released its report on the loss of the fishing vessel Tenacious, which ran aground and sank near Whittier, Alaska last year. According to NTSB, fatigue was the primary cause of the casualty.

Shipbroker and commercial manager Hanse Bereederung has boosted its Sale & Purchase department by announcing the appointment of Nikos Diakomichalis to its team.

Mr Diakomichalis, who was part of Hanse’s apprenticeship and student programme, successfully passed the highly respected German shipping school qualification during his apprenticeship at the company. He joins a highly motivated and capable S&P team at the company’s Hamburg offices.
