PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - The Coast Guard medevaced a man aboard a cargo ship about 225 east of Virginia Beach on Friday.

The captain of the Saga Navigator contacted the Coast Guard at 12:34 p.m. and reported a crew member had a deep gash with significant blood loss and a fractured foot.
