Offshore drillers face up to $3bn of contract cancellations

A report by Rystad Energy says that the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and oil price war have ravaged global energy markets, and estimates that offshore drillers could see up to 10% of their contract volumes cancelled in 2020 and 2021, representing a total loss of revenue of about $3bn.

The guidelines issued by the European Commission today support these individuals, providing recommendations on health, repatriation and travel arrangements. They also announce the establishment of a network of designated ports for crew changes.

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Foreign Affairs repatriated on Good Friday from the United States and Europe more than 1,400 Filipino seamen and cruise ship crew members displaced by the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic around the world.
